Coalmine Beach was our first port of call today. Although it looked inviting the stiff breeze made it too uncomfortable to sit and watch the fishermen setting out in their boats.
This pelican swam by just off shore.
We continued one of the off-road routes and stopped by this view of Nornalup National Park and the Southern Ocean.
The next place of interest was a walking trail that led to the Giant Tingle Tree. It was only when we were right beside it that we could appreciate how enormous it is.
At the end of the gravel road was Circular Pool but, as with many other water sights, this pool was reduced to the size of a small pond. This is the driest time of year in this area.
Further on we took the turning to Conspicuous Cliff beach which is reached by a series of steps and boardwalks through the sand dunes.
In the middle of the afternoon we unpacked our chairs on Green's Pool beach for a lazy couple of hours. This area of water is called a pool because it is protected from the ocean waves by a natural arc of granite boulders.
