Wednesday 12th September

Today was mainly a travelling day up one of the Interstates but we did follow the River Wallowa for many miles before joining I-84.

We took a detour through the centre of Pendleton which is now holding the Pendleton Round - Up which is one of the biggest rodeos in the US so the town was heaving with enthusiasts and cowboys. We couldn't get tickets or accommodation because both are booked months in advance.
