Monday 17th September

We woke to blue skies and sunshine and this lovely view from our balcony.

We drove down and parked on the beach to enjoy the waves and the pelicans.

The beach is long and flat so many people drive down there.

We spent the afternoon on the other side of the peninsula at this virtually deserted beach where lots of trees are washed up on the shoreline.
It is on this coast that items from the Japanese tsunami are washed up and there are signs saying don't touch anything that you find.

After dinner we looked out across the Pacific at this most unreal sunset.
