Saturday 22nd September
This morning at Port Angeles the fog had lifted and we could clearly see Canada on the horizon.
We drove to Bainbridge Island and took the 35 minute ferry ride across Puget Sound to Seattle.
We enjoyed a clear view of Seattle as we neared the city.
When we checked in to our hotel we had a great view of the Space Needle right outside.
We walked across to the Seattle Center and explored the site. Our first stop was at the Pacific Science Center.
While in the center we took the opportunity to visit the Tutankhamun Exhibition which we had missed in London.
We ended the afternoon in the Butterfly House.
On our way back we took a look at the EMP building designed by Frank Gehry.
After dinner the Space Needle was lit up and looked striking against the clear sky.
