Monday 10th September
Today was mainly a driving day to get us to the north eastern corner of Oregon. During the journey we crossed the 45th line of latitude ( half way between the North Pole & the Equator and notched up 2,000 miles of travel ).

We took a break at Baker City which grew up during the Gold Rush and has fine wide streets and some imposing buildings.

In the late afternoon we drove up to the viewing point for Joseph Canyon and chatted for a while with two locals who had also come to admire the view.
