Napier
This morning we drove up to Bluff Hill Lookout which gave us superb views of the town and the port. We spent a good hour watching container ships being unloaded and logging trucks delivering huge loads of timber.
At the bottom of the bluff we strolled round Centennial Gardens which was a riot of colour backed by a very high waterfall.
In the early afternoon we drove out further down Hawkes Bay to the hills overlooking Ocean Beach and relaxed watching the surfers and the long waves.
On the way back we saw these fields which looked as though they had been terraced but in fact this folding is completely natural and we have seen it in other places.
