Coromandel to Pukekohe
First thing this morning we visited The Waterworks, a unique park where unusual contraptions are worked by water.
www.waiauwaterworks.co.nzWe had fun playing with and watching the crazy machines.
Part of the park was an alpaca enclosure and one of them was very friendly.
A little further on we walked to The Kauri Grove. The trail takes you through forest to view these massive specimens.
Nearby are the Waiaw Falls which flow into a pool surrounded by native bush.
The road gave us some spectacular views of the coast near Coromandel Town.
Further along we came to an area of deep inlets.
Finally the road was at the side of lovely bays where there were lots of sea shells. We spent some time relaxing here before moving on the our overnight stop just south of Auckland.
