Thursday 5th March
Nelson
This morning we drove along the coast past tidal mudflats to Kaiteriteri, the beginning of the Abel Tasman National Park.

We caught a catermaran from this beach and travelled for an hour along the coast.

One of the first places we visited was Split Apple Rock, an enormous piece of broken granite.

When we landed at Medlands Beach we followed this precarious path cut in the hillside to reach Bark Bay.

We then ventured inland to walk further along the Coastal Track.

This eventually led to a waterfall at the other end of the bay.

As we returned to our picking up point we marvelled at the colour of the sea below us.
