Paihia
Today was a relaxing, lazy day spent on the rocks and the beach here in Paihia. We began by walking the first part of the coastal path but, because of the incoming tide, we turned back and found a sheltered cove.
We enjoyed messing around on the beach and looking in the rock pools.
As it was getting very hot we wandered along the beach into town and walked out onto the pier to watch the boats more closely, and catch the breeze.
Later in the afternoon we drove a few miles up the coast to a lookout where we got some wonderful views of The Bay of Islands.
