Wednesday 7th March
When we left Adelaide we visited the small town of Hahndorf which is well known locally for its German connections.

We then drove through the dry dusty landscapes that we had expected to find in Australia and saw our first merino sheep.

We were following Princes Highway which borders several coastal lagoons. Many were dry but this one, Pink Lake, was not and was very pink at the far side.

This giant lobster model, called Larry, is situated just as you enter Kingston. It is much bigger than expected because the British creator gave dimensions in feet which the Australian makers took as metres so it is three times the size that it was meant to be.

Further along the coast road we came across an extensive area of vineculture.

We stopped for the night in Robe and, after a walk into the town, we enjoyed the sight of this beautiful sunset over the beach.
Don't know why this photo is bigger than the others
