Our first view of the rock was from the coach on our way to the resort.

This is the area just outside the door to our room, we are right on the edge of the desert.

We took a tour around the base with a very knowledgeable driver who gave us information about the local Anangu aboriginal culture, as well as the local flora and fauna.

In the distance we could see the other group of huge rocks near here called Kata Tjuta.

This is just to prove that we are here and that we found a good place from which to see the sunset over Uluru.

The range of colours was amazing, from this red to pinks, purples and finally grey.
