Monday 12th March
This morning we travelled the short distance between Geelong and Melbourne.

We walked down to Federation Square, where we found thousands of people. What we hadn't realised was that today is Labour Day and the last day of the Moonba Festiival.

Across the Yarra River the area was jam-packed with festival goers.

We headed back into the city and took the hour long free tram ride around the city centre.

Melbourne is proud of its Victorian arcades which we explored later in the afternoon.

At 9.30 tonight we are going down to the river to see the giant firework display that marks the end of the festival.
