Tuesday 13th March
We drove through farmlands near the Bass coast for the first half of our day.

We stopped at Cape Paterson beach where we walked around to the edge of the water to watch the fishermen on the rocks.

Ther were lots of lovely rock pools with little fish in them and the tide came crashing in as we explored them.

We then drove a little further on and stopped at Bunurong beach.

The rocks here are really unusual in that they looked as if paving slabs had been laid down.

We think that the rocks are probably volcanic as these rocks nearby were full of air holes.

Later that evening we went for a ride to Seaspray where these trees formed an impressive entrance on the road in.

In Seaspray we climbed over the dunes to have a look at 90 mile beach which is really that length.

Much of the land near here has been flooded and ther are lots of water birds around. Along here just by the side of the road we saw a kangaroo with darker coloured fur but it hopped off before we could take a photo.
