Monday 20th February
As were leaving Grafton we made a detour along some streets lined with Jacaranda trees.
At the end of this street we found a good spot to photograph the 'wiggly' bridge which leads into the town.
We also discovered a street lined with very old fig trees.
Out of Grafton we drove through protected forests.
We stopped for lunch at 'The House with no Steps' which is a macadamia & avocado farm with a nursery, market and gardens attached.
We arrived in Ballina with time to walk down the path by the side of the estuary.
We enjoyed a display of sheet lightning as we ate dinner in a restaurant by the side of the river and had been back in our room for an hour before the tropical storm arrived. We lost the lights for a few minutes and the internet for the rest of the evening, hence this late post. Still raining this morning.
