Tuesday 6th March
This is one of the Agama lizards that warms itself up on the wall by our back door.

These cactus plants grow everywhere.

In the afternoon we visited the Archaeological Site of Kato Pafos. It is a World Heritage site and we could quite understand why. They are still in the process of excavating the whole site.
This is the Villa of Theseus with its circular mosaic of Theseus fighting the Minotaur.

These mosaics from the 4th Century AD illustrate some of the myths of the Greek Gods.

The house of Dionysos has many virtually complete mosaics and is considered to be the best set of Roman mosaics in Europe and possibly the world.. The patterns, colours and details are amazing.

There is a lot more of this site left for us to explore. This is the view from the base of the lighthouse across the Odeon towards the town of Pafos (Paphos).
