Friday 24th June

This afternoon we visited Burnby Hall and gardens in Pocklington near York.
As we entered we saw people feeding the fish by the edge of the lake.

The gardens contain the National Collection of water lilies which covers both lakes and there is a huge variety of colours.

There are several types of garden and we particularly enjoyed the rock garden with its meandering paths and many nooks and crannies.

As we relaxed near the small lake, we watched many birds feeding.

This bridge was a lovely feature that led us to the short Woodland Walk.
