Saturday 9th October
Yesterday we travelled to Hawes and explored the town which is built into the hillside and around the streams of upper Wensleydale.

This morning Glenys attended the AGM of the Metcalfe Society.

After the meeting we both enjoyed looking around the Dales Countryside Museum.

Some of the exhibits are displayed in the three carriages next to the old station buildings, which house the museum.

We drove up to Hardraw and walked through the 700 year old Green Dragon Inn to Hardraw Force, the highest waterfall in England, having a continuous drop of a hundred feet.

We followed the stream at the bottom of the gorge back to the pub.
