Today we visited Harlow Carr to enjoy the autumn colours.

Tuesday 13th September

Today we drove to Ingleton to walk the Ingleton Waterfalls trail, 5 to 6 miles by the side of two rivers. The weather was lovely for walking and we spent the afternoon there.

 Sunday 7th August

Today's summer concert at Harlow Carr was the best one so far. There was a wide variety of music from Take 2 Big Band from Sheffield.

Thursday 4th August

We travelled to Filey for the day. We found a long-stay car park at the far end of the town and from there we walked across the park to get a lovely view of the bay.

We walked down onto the promenade and decided to walk to Filey Brig in the distance.

It took about half an hour to reach the far end of the brig before we turned round.

On the way back we explored some of the rock pools and saw jellyfish, crabs and small fishes.

We walked back through the cliff top gardens.

We completed the day out with fish and chips on the way home.

 Thursday 2nd June

In the afternoon we visited Kenana Knitters, a company set up to improve the lives of rural Kenyan women by producing knitted articles. The money earned goes straight into the hands of the women, so improving their quality of life. 90% of their output is for export, mainly to Australia.

 Thursday June 2nd

Today we had a delivery of 10000 litres of water. Now can do the washing.

 Wednesday 1st June

Today we visited Lake Nakuru National Park, just 20 minutes away from the house. We spent several hours driving around and saw a huge variety of animals.

 Tuesday 31st May

This morning we drove to Menengai Crater, about half an hour from Russell's house. The road was very rough and several times we had to go into 4 wheel drive.

When we arrived at the parking area, the views all round were magnificent.

 Friday 27th May

This morning we had coffee at a local hotel with lovely views over Lake Nakuru.

 Wednesday 18th May

We spent this morning on the balcony enjoying the sunshine when we noticed a movement on the garden shed. We think it is an Agama lizard.

As we were watching the road outside the house, we saw these cattle being herded through the street.

We arrived safely after a delayed flight from Heathrow. Russell picked us up at Jomo Kenyatta airport and we stayed the night with Eunice in Nairobi. We set off the following day and had a lovely journey to Russell and Christine's house in Nakuru.

We have spent a few days settling in. This morning we had breakfast on the terrace with lovely views over Lake Nakuru.
