Monday 24th July
We are staying in the North Wessex Downs in Ramsbury for 4 nights before moving on to near Brighton to meet up with all our grandchildren.
After dinner we strolled around the picture postcard village with lots of thatched cottages.

Also a very unusual road sign

Some were having new thatch put on.

Sunday July 23rd
Today we, with many other Wetherby folk, attended the unveiling of a Blue Plaque in memory of "Ginger" Lacy, a Second World War fighter pilot who was born in Wetherby. There were several hundred in the crowd to see the unveiling in the grounds of the new Aldi supermarket.

There was a fly past by a Lancaster bomber which came in low over the assembled crowd three times.

The plaque itself had a Guard of Honour by two former RAF members.
