Snowdrops in the woods above Rievaulx Terrace where we could hear the hounds from the hunt that we came across on our journey here.
We were lucky enough to be there when the Temple at the end of the terrace was opened for half an hour. It was used as a summer lunch venue when it was completed. It took the Italian artist three years to paint the ceiling. Money was no object for the eighteenth banker who had it built.
There are many lovely views across the valley and Rievaulx Abbey.
