Monday 30th January
This afternoon we completed the second part of Saturday's walk, starting at Little Alms Cliff.

We continued along a very muddy path through Stainburn Forest.

After about a mile we came to Hunter's Stones.

On our return we enjoyed the late afternoon sunshine.

We noticed that some of the lichens were flowering where sunlight was catching the top of the stone wall.

Saturday 28th January
We went for a walk near Beckwithshaw today which took us past Scargill & Beaver Dyke reservoirs. In the distance we could just make out snow on the hills.

Thursday 19th January
We went for a walk today around the Harewood Estate. Not long into the walk, after seeing four red kites, we came across this lovely cascade.

At the other side of the estate these five stags walked across our path only fifty yards away.

Within a short time the large herd walked up from the fields below but were disturbed by a passing car and retreated back to where they had come from.

It was a beautiful clear day and we could see Almscliffe Crag in the distance beyone the strikingly coloured clump of trees and the Highland cattle.

Wednesday 18th January
Following a recommendation, we visited the Manor House in Ilkley to see an Arts & Crafts exhibition by local artists.
