Wednesday 22nd July
Today we visited the Tatton Park Flower Show where we saw many innovative gardens.

We particularly enjoyed the entries in the National Flowerbed competition. This is the winning entry from Stoke-on-Trent depicting a ship that was wrecked when carrying a cargo of pottery.

This is one of many beautiful displays in the Flower marquee.

In the afternoon we listened to a humorous talk by Eric Knowles about Moorcroft Pottery.

Sunday 19th July

This afternoon we travelled down to London and met Rachael and Lynsey for dinner.

The following day we met some of Christine's family friends for afternoon tea in the Winter Garden Restaurant at the Landmark Hotel.

Saturday 11th July
We enjoyed being part of Pearl's 60th birthday party at the Golf Club in Matlock. We caught up with lots of news with Mike and Pat Gomersall and had a good time dancing to a live band playing 60's music.


Sunday 12th July
We visited Pearl at her home for her actual birthday.

Tuesday 14th July
We spent a full day at the Yorkshire Show walking around the marquees, stands, pavillions and demonstrations. The carriage show was very impressive.
