On our journey home from London we headed east to avoid the heavier snow in the Peak District.
Redcar was our next stop. The waves were dramatic. Most of the sand has gone. The fishing boats are still on the front & on Fisherman's Square nearby. There were lots of birds gulls, sandpipers, dunlin, ..

 18th January 2024

The recent crisp clear winter days are perfect for walking.

Sunday, 7 January 2024

We walked round Paul's Pond at Golden Acre Park. On the way we saw this enormous tree fallen down by the lake. We couldn't believe how shallow the roots were on such an old tree.

 !st January 2024

A bright and sunny start to the new year.

Scaur Bank is still flooded at the far side.

The stream & paths at Little Switzerland in Roundhay Park.

We walked along the main paths and around the small lake. The park was busy with families enjoying some fresh air. The little train was running non stop and very full.

Spotting the snowdrops appearing was a lovely treat today.

The path around the small Ings field was flooded as was the area by the bridge in town.

Harrogate was quite busy and there were some lovely displays still on show.
